This is not something I will do with any frequency, just feel the need to put it out there since it's on my mind. So, I'm interrupting your regularly scheduled blog-reading to bring you this:
With increasing frequency, we are inundated with images that we consider obscene.
In the evenings, one can hardly watch TV anymore without a spicy Victoria's Secret commercial splashing across the screen, not to mention commercials for TV programs that show more skin than a plastic surgeon's trash can. While checking out at any given retail store, you will note the magazine covers with plunging necklines & barely-there bikinis, all positioned right at eye level for our children. And we all know the outcry that Janet Jackson caused with her wardrobe malfunction. I can totally see why those things are considered obscene to some. That's not what skin was meant for, really. But what I cannot for the life of me wrap my brain around is this being obscene:
Who knew that boobs actually doing what they are made for was obscene? After all, it's just lunch. Next time you're at a mall or a restaurant or a park, look around. I'll bet you good money that any mom who is feeding her baby is twenty bazillion times more discreet than Pamela Anderson is in her skanky white wedding bikini.
Almost makes me want to have another baby so I can post pictures of my boobs doing what they are made for too. (relax, I said almost) I only have one nursing picture, and darn if it's not obscene at all.
My point is, boobs are for food. Anything else is obscene. We now return to regularly scheduled blogging.

I saw this before and I totally DITTO you! Makes me GRRRRR.
If I was brave enough, I'd wear one of those t-shirts that says "I nurse in public, but you're welcome to have YOUR lunch in the restroom if you want." :-D
